I'm not sure running into the crowd with a microphone cable long enough to trace the outline of the Amazon river was the best idea ever, but he's Win Butler and he sings for the Arcade Fire, so I don't really care what he does as long as it's releasing more songs like "We Used to Wait".

Free Energy - "Bang Pop"

The video for "Bang Pop" by Free Energy is single most fun music video I've seen in quite some time! Seriously, what music video with a bubble machine, gorilla suit antics, a guy in a wheelchair doing wheelies, a hippie lead singer stuck in the 70's, and total unrealistic high school debauchery isn't somehow tied with a kick-butt song? Free Energy is five guys (down from six in 2009) that are from Philly that have been making free energy since 2007. They've appeared on Letterman and on tour with Weezer playing songs from their '09 EP Free Energy and '10 debut album Stuck on Nothing.

Not only can he talk, but he can sing, too. The video for "I Can Talk" by Two Door Cinema Club is always entertaining.

Middle Class Rut is a Noble Duo.

Middle Class Rut is a band that consists of two guys that know how to get their point across to their listeners. Right now, their most popular song is "New Low", which is nothing short of a big-sounding rock song!

Foster the People - EP

For months I couldn't say enough good things about Foster the People. Now that they've released a three-song, self-titled EP, I can't listen to them enough. The three songs are: "Houdini" (the most head-bobbable), "Pumped Up Kicks" (the most popular, and a recently common song on the AltNation 18 Countdown), and "Helena Beat" (the longer song with solid repetitive drums and a catchy melody). You can purchase the EP on iTunes for $2.97, or individual songs for $0.99.

Info about the new album by The Strokes in stores March 22.

The Strokes have a new CD that is due March 22 titled Angles. A promotional poster for the new album was released Tuesday. The Strokes have stated that the video for their new song "Under Cover of Darkness" will be out in late February. The band is trying to land spots on shows like Lopez Tonight and SNL to promote the new album and their United States tour in the spring.
