The Graffiti6 Story

Graffiti6 is a pop rock band from London. It's TommyD and Jamie Scott, who have both been in the industry for a while, but being featured on alternative rock radio is new to them. The two wrote a soundtrack, if you will, of songs for The Sun newspaper's television ads - they called the soundtrack "Stare Into The Sun". Fastforward to 2011 (from 2008), and here they are making music videos and being played on the radio. The video is fun, and strongly reflects the duo's creative backgrounds. This song is called "Stare Into The Sun" by Graffiti6.

Who doesn't love Cake?

For all of you who had forgotten about the greatest band named after a desert, they've released a new album. Yes, I'm talking about Cake. They've been doing what they do for 20 years now, and over those 20 years the band has put out 7 albums. Before the new one, Showroom of Compassion, the last one Cake released was Pressure Chief, in 2004. John McCrea's monotone vocals are well thought out, in his classic monotone singing voice. The complexity of Xan McCurdy's guitar riffs in cunjunction with the clever trumpet-playing Vince DiFiore make Cake, Cake. To me, "Sick of You" is a little dissapointing, though. It's classic Cake material, but something is missing. I guess not every song can be "The Distance".
